So Many to Thank!

The Honor Flight Arizona Board of Directors wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude to ALL who have made this year so successful in helping us continue to fulfill our mission to honor and thank our Veterans for their service! This program would not be possible without your generous donations of time, talents, resources, and financial gifts. This fall season, we flew more than 240 Veterans to see their memorials.

We are grateful:

  • to our Volunteers for the many roles they play in making each flight, reunion luncheon, and administrative logistics happen;
  • to the Guardians for keeping our Veterans safe and comfortable during their journey;
  • to the airport greeters, the TSA, and Southwest Airlines staff who make each send-off and return special;
  • to Youth for Troops, the Patriot Guard riders, and others who provide the flag line for each welcome home ceremony;
  • to the Arizona Society Daughters of the American Revolution chapters who provide refreshments and assistance to trip participants before the flights;
  • to the Old Breed Detachment 767 and many JROTC color guards who lead the processions to and from the gate;
  • to Phoenix Electricians Today and the individuals who make and bring the lunches for the flights;
  • to the Arizona Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America for loaning us the wheelchairs;
  • to Col. Harry L. Cooper VFW Post 160 in Maryland for the dinners at the end of a long day of touring;
  • to Elks Lodge #335 for providing the building and reunion luncheons;
  • and to the donors of monetary gifts both small and large that help us pay homage to our Veterans.

You are the heart and soul of the Honor Flight Arizona program, and we appreciate you more than you know!
