All-Female Honor Flight for DAR
The date for the first-ever, all-female Daughters of The American Revolution (DAR) Veterans Honor Flight have been set for April 7-9, 2026. In collaboration with Honor Flight Arizona, Arizona State DAR Regent Sarah Ziker has taken on this project to sponsor a three-day trip to Washington, D.C. to recognize and honor the service of Arizona’s female veterans who are also DAR members.
This unique trip includes plans to visit pivotal landmarks meaningful to women such as the Military Women’s Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, Vietnam Nurses Memorial, and the DAR National Headquarters in Washington, D.C. In addition, the participants will visit the service-related memorials included on other Honor Flight trips. All Guardians, Medics and Trip Leaders on the flight will be female, and Southwest Airlines has even scheduled a female pilot, co-pilot, and flight crew for this special event!

Woman power
Kathy, I am so happy for you, this honor is just so darn fantastic and so well deserved. We love you and have always known that you are the perfect patriotic all around volunteer. Your Faith, your Navy service, your endless meaningful contributions to our veterans, our communities and this incredible United States 🇺🇸 of America has been exemplary!
And isn’t it so sweet that this very special Honor Flight is reserved for our beloved brethren, our acknowledged ‘better half’, our unrelenting and spirited sisters, warriors all, who continue to serve as proudly as ever. Enjoy the experience, travel well and return safely. God bless the Ladies,
This is wonderful news!!! Just wish we female veterans who went on our Honor Flights this past year could have been given information about this flight so we could have been given the choice to the possibility of going on this flight instead of this year. For me, while I enjoyed my Honor Flight this year, I would have preferred to go on an all female Honor Flight. The reason is that being with other female veterans from the Vietnam Era would have made it more special. I wish a wonderful flight to all the women veterans on this very special Honor Flight.
