Honor Flight Arizona wouldn’t be able to honor our WWII Veterans with a trip to their memorials without the support of all of our wonderful volunteers and sponsors. We have opportunities for people to assist the Veterans, help us prepare for the trip, welcome us home, and a special program for Teachers. Check out the following opportunities and let us know how you would like to share your passion for our country’s veterans with us.
Guardians
Honor Flight Arizona would not be successful without the generous support of our guardians. Guardians play a significant role on every trip, ensuring that every veteran has a safe and memorable experience. Duties include, but not limited to, physically assisting the veterans at the airport, during the flight and at the memorials. Please know that this is a physically taxing trip and that guardians need to be in good health. Guardians are also responsible for their own expenses – $850. (air fare, accommodations, meals, transportation, etc.). Learn more about becoming a Guardian and apply.
Volunteers
Honor Flight Arizona relies heavily on the dedicated help provided by our volunteers. Assistance is required for clerical support, fund raising, speaking with community groups, organizing luncheons for our vets and airport assistance that aids the veterans both at the beginning and the end of each trip. Please consider the wide range of opportunities; every little bit helps. Learn more about becoming a Volunteer and apply.
Sponsors
It costs Honor Flight Arizona $850 to send each Veteran to see their memorials. We rely on the passion and kindness of local businesses, community groups and individuals to help us raise enough money to complete our flights on schedule. Learn more about sponsoring a Veteran.
